Cygnus buccinator. The largest of North American Swans, Trumpeters breed in Central and South-Central Alaska. In late September and early October they can be seen in the ponds along Turnagin Arm and at Tern Lake as they stop to rest during Fall migration to the west coast of British Columbia and Washington State. order image BWSB0006
