Welcome to Homer
A Northwestern Crow, Corvus caurinus, studies the welcome sign in Homer, Alaska. No doubt he was formulating his plan for stealing a treat or 2 at the local campgrounds. Crows normally feed on the whatever they can find on the beach in Homer. Of course, they also take advantage of opportunities at the local McDonalds, the landfill, and the Safeway parking lot. It is not uncommon to see the entire rim of a pickup truck bed populated with crows examining the booty to be found within.
