Springtime in Alaska...
O.K. maybe it doesn't look like spring to you non-Alaskans; but Springtime in Homer, Alaska, means that after a long, dark Winter, we finally get enough light to see the beauty of this place while it still has a blanket of fresh snow covering all the blue tarps and junk cars. This is the view from the East Hill overlook in Homer. The spit extends 5 miles out into Kachemak Bay. The mountains and glaciers on the south side of the bay will lose their white frosting soon enough.
