Sunrise on the Spit

The hippies and the flower children call Homer, Alaska the cosmic hamlet by the sea. The view from the Homer Spit is just one of the reasons. This image was taken on a November morning. The winter temperatures in Homer are mitigated by proximity to the ocean, making it one of the more pleasant places to spend the cold season in Alaska.
