Parakeet Auklet
Aethia psittacula. Parakeet Auklets are common throughour the Aleutian islands and Bristol Bay. They normally nest in rock crevices but are also known to dig burrows in soil to nest. Normally they produce one egg per season and both adults incubate it. Their diet includes jellyfish and zooplankton. length 10 inches, wingspan 18 inches weight 12 ounces
