Abstract
Marine Life - Image Description

Wally

In obvious need of some dental work and an acid peel, this North Pacific Walrus prepares to haul out on the rocky shores of Round Island, west of Dillingham, Alaska. Walrus are bottom feeders. Clams (bivalve molluscs) are their most common food; other invertebrates such sea cucumbers, crabs, and segmented worms are also frequently found in their stomachs. They are known to prey on small seals such as ringed and ribbon seals.
