The Peel River
Winding it's way north to the Mackenzie River Delta, the Peel river is seen here from the Dempster Highway, with the Ogilvie Mountains as a backdrop. The Peel begins at the confluence of the Ogilvie and the Blackstone rivers. It passes Fort McPherson, Northwest Territories,the only settlement on its banks, at mile 342 of the the Dempster.
