Airborne Athlete

Watching eagles attacking fish or chasing other birds or just playing brings an appreciation for just how agile and athletic these birds are. They twist, turn plunge and pirouette like Olympic gymnasts. This bird was photographed near Homer, Alaska as he started down to snatch a fish from Kachemak Bay.
