Awkward Age

At least the awkward age doesn't last very long. These crane colts at age one month have already lost the cuteness they had as toddlers; but it will only be 2 more months until they are fully grown. From hatchlings to full size in 3 months...that's an aggressive growth schedule. It's fueled largely by the protein in insects and worms, with an occasional small rodent or frog tossed in for good measure.
